BLACKJACK
Players: 2-8
Goal: Best the dealer to win
Rules:
-
Someone must be the dealer for each hand in this game. Everyone else is a player. One person can be the dealer throughout play, or players can take turns.
-
The dealer gives everyone, including himself/herself one card facedown, and one card face up.
-
Each player looks at their facedown card, and adds its value to the face-up card to determine the total value of the hand. The value of a card is equal to the number on the card.
-
J, Q, K are all worth 10 points. Aces are worth one or eleven, whatever the player of the card determines.
-
Starting with the person to the left of the dealer, each player attempts to make the best possible hand by getting to 21 points. A player may request more cards from the dealer until the sum reaches or exceeds 21. The player goes 'bust' if the value exceeds 21.
-
After all players have gone bust or stands, the dealer deals for himself/herself.
-
When the dealer and all players are done, everyone shows their cards and value.
-
The players with better score than the dealer wins. All the bust players and players with the same or lower score than the dealer loses.
-
The players that best the dealer may ask the dealer one of the questions on their hand.
-
The players that lost to the dealer must answer one of the questions on the dealer's hand.
