Players: 2-10

Goal: The first player to reach 500 points win

Rules:

  • Deal out all the cards. It's not important if the cards don't deal out evenly to all the players.

  • The card ranking in ascending order is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A.

  • The game starts with the player to the left of the dealer placing their lowest card of a particular suit face-up on the table.

  • The player who has the next-lowest card of the suit places that card on top. For instance, if the first player lays down 4♣, then the player who has 5♣ then lays that card on top of the first card.

  • Then the player who has the next-lowest card again after the previous card lays that card on top. The play continuous this way until Ace of the suit is played.

  • The player who played the Ace then places the lowest card of any suit on the table, and the round begins anew.

  • The person to the dealer's left makes the first play. This person takes the lowest card he has in a particular suit and plays it in the centre of the table. Play does not go around the circle after that. The player who has the next-highest card in that suit plays it on top. And then the next highest card is played by whoever has it. Play continues until the Ace (the highest card of the suit) is reached. The player who plays the Ace then plays the lowest card he has from a new suit and the process begins again

  • The first player to rid themselves of all their cards wins the session.

  • The other players have points subtracted for the cards they have left. Make sure to keep score, if you want to call the others "losers" after the game.

  • Aces are worth 1 point. J, Q and King are worth 10 points. The jokers are worth 15 points. The other cards are worth the value of their rank (4♣ is worth 4 points, for instance).

  • The cards remaining in the players hands are subtracted from their point total. It is possible to have a negative point total.

  • The player who won the session adds the total value of the left-over cards of all the players to the point total.

  • The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.

  • The player with the highest sum of cards remaining after a session may draw a random card from the pile. The question on the card must be answered by the player with the highest point total.
